Today as you were talking about number, again, you mentioned that you would never sell me "never ending dollars".  But, then you mentioned you could get a dog with "never ending dollars".  So, I asked if you would sell me so you could get a dog and you said, "yep"!  I was in shock, but then when I asked you again, you said, you would never sell me because I'm your favorite mommy, but if you had never ending dollars you could buy a house and then get a dog.  I so wish we could get a house so you could get a dog!  Someday!

You have been very interested in numbers lately and you are constantly counting and saying big numbers like "48 hundred thousand".  That number seems to be your favorite!  You also tell me all the time that numbers never end and that you love me "number never ending"!  That brightens my heart!

Today while we were waiting fore Triston to come home from school, we were playing in the parking lot with a ball and you would throw the ball and then count how many steps it took you to get there.  You are so ready for Kindergarten and so ahead of where you need to be for it!

I was worried about you on Sunday night, and after both you and Triston had fallen asleep in my bed, I kept you there so I could keep an eye on you.  But, it turns out that I should have kept Triston there.  He got sick that night and came into my room and threw up all over! :(  Poor kid!  Your tummy hurt all day, but you never threw up, but you were in the bathroom quite a bit!

So, we had a very lazy day at home with all of sick.  We watched movies and ate jello!

Friday, April 18 - Sunday, April 20 2014

We had a wonderful Easter weekend with the Jenks' family!  We love it when they come to visit from Mountain Home!  On Friday night we spent the night at Grandma Packer's house, so we could enjoy all the fun!  All the kids had a great time running around outside!  After dinner, Grandma had some cupcakes ready for everyone to decorate.  There were sprinkles everywhere!

On Saturday Morning, we decorated Easter Eggs!  Sometimes, I'm not sure if more of the dye gets on your hands or the eggs!

After the egg decorating, you and Triston were taken up to St. Anthony to practice for the play you are going to be in.  Jeni and Mackalya are in a play for the Teton Dam flood.  I'm not sure of the name of the play, but Jeni got you and Triston into the play and today was your first practice.  You are going to be extras and get to be in a dance with buckets!  You are both really excited to be in the play!  You keep telling me, "I can't believe I finally get to be in a play!'  You were pretty sad last year when Triston got to be in Aladdin and you didn't.

Later on Saturday afternoon, Grandma had a big Easter Egg hunt for all the Grandkids!  Your color was green and you got to find 30 green eggs!  There were lots of fun goodies in the eggs!  The Easter Bunny also came to our house on Saturday afternoon and you got some bucket stilts, a kite and some yummy candy!

Dressed up in your new Easter clothes!  Such handsome boys!  I'm so proud of both of you!
 Silly boy!!!

Unfortunately, Sunday afternoon, you started getting a tummy ache!  I knew it wasn't from too much candy, because I also had it.  You were exhausted and so ready to get to bed on Sunday night!

April 17, 2014

You had a very busy day today!  First of all you cut a piece of your hair this morning.  You have decided you don't like your hair curly, so you cut some of it and then used hair spray on it to flatten it down.  I love your curly hair!!!  You said you wanted your hair spikey, but i just don't like your hair short!  :)

You had an Easter Egg hunt at Miss Jenise's today and you also made a cute basket.  You are also excited about preschool because next week you are learning the letter Z!  You just can't believe that you have learned all the letters!

After preschool today, for about half an hour, you decided that you wanted to count to 1000!  I was actually pretty shocked when you counted to 100 by yourself with very few mistakes.  You then kept going and did really well up to 313 and then you said that's as far as you could go!  I know that some kindergartners are not able to do that, so I'm very proud of you!

While I work, you are often in the same room with me and have memorized most of what I say to the people I call.  I make calls for a wholesaler named Rob O'Brien and today you asked me if Rob O'Brien lets me make you lunch.  It took me a  minute to understand what you were asking, but you wanted to know if Rob O'Brien gets mad when I stop working to make you lunch.  I was so happy to tell you that no, he does not get mad and that is why I have the job I do!  This job makes it possible for me to still be at home with you to make you lunch!

We went to Triston's school tonight for a book sale from the library.  They were selling old books for $.25 and you and Triston both were very excited and you found $.75 to spend and was so excited that you would be able to get 3 books!  You got a "Clifford book, "Shark Attack" book and a dinosaur book.  Clifford the Big Red Dog was also at the school!

Friday, April 11 - Wednesday, April 16, 2014

Mommy wasn't feeling very good on Friday, so Jeni took you and Triston on bike ride for a little bit.  She sure is good to you two! On Saturday, we met the Bargabos' family in Idaho Falls at Leo's to celebrate Cooper's birthday.  We sure have a lot of fun with them!

We then went to JcPenney and had both your pictures taken for your birthdays. You're so photogenic and so handsome!  We are a little late on yours, but they still turned out cute!  We then went to Grandma's and you and Triston played out in the garden and dug for worms for over an hour!  It looked like you were having a lot of fun!  Mommy still wasn't feeling very good, so Grandma let you and Triston spend the the night at her house.  Grandma brought you back home in time for church on Sunday.  You LOVE spending the night at Grandma's and I'm so glad that you were able to do that.

On Monday, we went to Kennedy Elementary for Kindergarten registration!  You were so excited!  But, you were also a little sad when you discovered that it was not time for you to actually go to Kindergarten. You wanted to spend the entire day there!  One of the teachers took you to the side and tested you on your sounds and letters.  When she brought you back, she asked if you went to Miss Porter's for preschool.  She said that she could tell because of the actions that you made when you were telling her the sounds of the letters!

The other day while I was working, you entertained yourself with my camera.  I found 41 little videos like this one.  They cracked me up for so many reasons.  In all of the videos, you are showing stuff around the house, but the camera was turned on you the entire time.  You also ended every video with that funny scream.  I wonder if you were trying to make a horror movie!

You make me smile every single day!

Once again, you begged and begged to finish the task list before you went to Miss Jenise's this morning.  You get a prize when you get it passed off, so I know that is why you want to do it so badly!  This list had the months of the year on it and it was pretty tricky for you.  If fact, you really didn't have it down perfectly before you went to school, but you worked on it for about an hour this morning.  You watched a YouTube video with a song that had the months and you said them over and over for me.  You could never remember April or September.  But, I do admire your perseverance!

We watched "Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang" today.  I don't know if you were that impressed by it and I had not seen it since I was pretty little.  I had forgotten a lot about it.  But, you and Triston were signing the song after it ended!  Another nice Spring day, so we rode bikes again for a little bit tonight.  You love it!  But, you still make me pretty nervous.  You like to go fast and that bike is still just a bit too big for you!

Wednesday, April 9, 2014

You were pretty sad this morning when I sold both of the smaller bikes.  We finally got the tire fixed on your bigger bike and you practiced riding it tonight.  You were pretty nervous at first.  The bike is just a bit taller than you are comfortable with, so you feel like you can't stop or start.  You were also really scared to try to get on it or get off it.  But, we worked on it and I showed you how to shift the bike a little to get on and off and you were pretty proud of yourself when you are able to do it by yourself!  I loved the look on your face when you realized that you were able to do it!  You were awfully proud of yourself!

Karate day!  You have really been enjoying Karate and you ask every day if you it is a Karate day.  I really thought that you would have gotten tired of going to it by now, but you haven't and that makes me proud! You have improved so much with Karate over the last few months.  You focus so much better and you can follow the directions so much better as well!  Good job!

You are having a hard time with not having preschool on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at BYU-I.  The minute Triston walks out the door in the morning, you start asking how many more hours until he comes back.  Sad, little Connor!

Tuesday, April 8, 2014

Your last day for preschool at BYU-I was last Friday, so until the next semester starts in May, you will only be going to Miss Jenise's on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Every month, Miss Jenise gives you a Kindergarten Ready Card, with a bunch of tasks to pass off.  We got behind and had 3 on the fridge waiting to be done, so we passed one off for you last week and my intention was to just start one this morning.  But, you are one persistent little boy and you made sure you passed off every single item before you went to Miss Jenise's this morning!  I really hope you stay this persistent throughout life when you have a task to complete!  The one thing you had trouble with was remembering your birthday.  So, I would tell you and you would try to repeat it.  If you did it wrong, I would say no and you would say, "tell me again".  I would tell you again and you would say "I'll say it one minute and then I will know it".  After a very long minute of 5 seconds, you would repeat it and most of the time you would be be able to say it correctly!

You have your 12 inch bike that you ride really, really well.  Last year, Cooper gave you a 16 inch bike and you were never able to ride it very well, because it was just a little bit too tall for you.  Today was probably the nicest day of the Spring so far, and the temps were in 60's, so we got out the bikes.  The 12 inch bike is just too small for you, but 16 inch had a flat tire, so we tried to pump it up and the tube was all twisted, so we tried to take the tire off and we couldn't find the right tools, we we recruited John when he came home from school and he was able to help with most of it, but then we ran into more problems and then Uncle Nolan came home and he helped and then found a hole in the tube, so he patched it and so hopefully tomorrow, you will be able to ride that bike!  And I sure hope you are tall enough for it, because I sold both the 12 inch bikes online tonight!

For Family Home Evening tonight, we watched some Mormon Messages online and you really liked that. You have such a desire to be good.  It's not always easy for you, but you do want to do things to make me happy.  You amaze me because you are never afraid to show your love.  You are always right in the middle of my life telling me that you love me or giving me a hug and a kiss.  I am so proud to be your mom!

We watched General Conference this weekend and you got a worksheet from Primary last week that had pictures of different words, "prayer, repentance, Heavenly Father", and when you heard the words, you could mark them off on the worksheet.  I was so amazed at you sat and listened to the speakers.  Every time there was a word that you knew was important, you would yell out, "Faith, they said faith".  And you would bring your sheet to me or Triston to help you find it on your sheet.  Most of the words you yelled out were not on your sheet, but it made me proud to know you were listening and trying to find important words!
