Today as you were talking about number, again, you mentioned that you would never sell me "never ending dollars".  But, then you mentioned you could get a dog with "never ending dollars".  So, I asked if you would sell me so you could get a dog and you said, "yep"!  I was in shock, but then when I asked you again, you said, you would never sell me because I'm your favorite mommy, but if you had never ending dollars you could buy a house and then get a dog.  I so wish we could get a house so you could get a dog!  Someday!

Tuesday, April 22, 2014

You have been very interested in numbers lately and you are constantly counting and saying big numbers like "48 hundred thousand".  That number seems to be your favorite!  You also tell me all the time that numbers never end and that you love me "number never ending"!  That brightens my heart!

Today while we were waiting fore Triston to come home from school, we were playing in the parking lot with a ball and you would throw the ball and then count how many steps it took you to get there.  You are so ready for Kindergarten and so ahead of where you need to be for it!

Monday, April 21, 2014

I was worried about you on Sunday night, and after both you and Triston had fallen asleep in my bed, I kept you there so I could keep an eye on you.  But, it turns out that I should have kept Triston there.  He got sick that night and came into my room and threw up all over! :(  Poor kid!  Your tummy hurt all day, but you never threw up, but you were in the bathroom quite a bit!

So, we had a very lazy day at home with all of sick.  We watched movies and ate jello!

Friday, April 18 - Sunday, April 20 2014

We had a wonderful Easter weekend with the Jenks' family!  We love it when they come to visit from Mountain Home!  On Friday night we spent the night at Grandma Packer's house, so we could enjoy all the fun!  All the kids had a great time running around outside!  After dinner, Grandma had some cupcakes ready for everyone to decorate.  There were sprinkles everywhere!

On Saturday Morning, we decorated Easter Eggs!  Sometimes, I'm not sure if more of the dye gets on your hands or the eggs!

After the egg decorating, you and Triston were taken up to St. Anthony to practice for the play you are going to be in.  Jeni and Mackalya are in a play for the Teton Dam flood.  I'm not sure of the name of the play, but Jeni got you and Triston into the play and today was your first practice.  You are going to be extras and get to be in a dance with buckets!  You are both really excited to be in the play!  You keep telling me, "I can't believe I finally get to be in a play!'  You were pretty sad last year when Triston got to be in Aladdin and you didn't.

Later on Saturday afternoon, Grandma had a big Easter Egg hunt for all the Grandkids!  Your color was green and you got to find 30 green eggs!  There were lots of fun goodies in the eggs!  The Easter Bunny also came to our house on Saturday afternoon and you got some bucket stilts, a kite and some yummy candy!

Dressed up in your new Easter clothes!  Such handsome boys!  I'm so proud of both of you!
 Silly boy!!!

Unfortunately, Sunday afternoon, you started getting a tummy ache!  I knew it wasn't from too much candy, because I also had it.  You were exhausted and so ready to get to bed on Sunday night!

April 17, 2014

You had a very busy day today!  First of all you cut a piece of your hair this morning.  You have decided you don't like your hair curly, so you cut some of it and then used hair spray on it to flatten it down.  I love your curly hair!!!  You said you wanted your hair spikey, but i just don't like your hair short!  :)

You had an Easter Egg hunt at Miss Jenise's today and you also made a cute basket.  You are also excited about preschool because next week you are learning the letter Z!  You just can't believe that you have learned all the letters!

After preschool today, for about half an hour, you decided that you wanted to count to 1000!  I was actually pretty shocked when you counted to 100 by yourself with very few mistakes.  You then kept going and did really well up to 313 and then you said that's as far as you could go!  I know that some kindergartners are not able to do that, so I'm very proud of you!

While I work, you are often in the same room with me and have memorized most of what I say to the people I call.  I make calls for a wholesaler named Rob O'Brien and today you asked me if Rob O'Brien lets me make you lunch.  It took me a  minute to understand what you were asking, but you wanted to know if Rob O'Brien gets mad when I stop working to make you lunch.  I was so happy to tell you that no, he does not get mad and that is why I have the job I do!  This job makes it possible for me to still be at home with you to make you lunch!

We went to Triston's school tonight for a book sale from the library.  They were selling old books for $.25 and you and Triston both were very excited and you found $.75 to spend and was so excited that you would be able to get 3 books!  You got a "Clifford book, "Shark Attack" book and a dinosaur book.  Clifford the Big Red Dog was also at the school!

Friday, April 11 - Wednesday, April 16, 2014

Mommy wasn't feeling very good on Friday, so Jeni took you and Triston on bike ride for a little bit.  She sure is good to you two! On Saturday, we met the Bargabos' family in Idaho Falls at Leo's to celebrate Cooper's birthday.  We sure have a lot of fun with them!

We then went to JcPenney and had both your pictures taken for your birthdays. You're so photogenic and so handsome!  We are a little late on yours, but they still turned out cute!  We then went to Grandma's and you and Triston played out in the garden and dug for worms for over an hour!  It looked like you were having a lot of fun!  Mommy still wasn't feeling very good, so Grandma let you and Triston spend the the night at her house.  Grandma brought you back home in time for church on Sunday.  You LOVE spending the night at Grandma's and I'm so glad that you were able to do that.

On Monday, we went to Kennedy Elementary for Kindergarten registration!  You were so excited!  But, you were also a little sad when you discovered that it was not time for you to actually go to Kindergarten. You wanted to spend the entire day there!  One of the teachers took you to the side and tested you on your sounds and letters.  When she brought you back, she asked if you went to Miss Porter's for preschool.  She said that she could tell because of the actions that you made when you were telling her the sounds of the letters!

The other day while I was working, you entertained yourself with my camera.  I found 41 little videos like this one.  They cracked me up for so many reasons.  In all of the videos, you are showing stuff around the house, but the camera was turned on you the entire time.  You also ended every video with that funny scream.  I wonder if you were trying to make a horror movie!

You make me smile every single day!

Thursday, April 10, 2014

Once again, you begged and begged to finish the task list before you went to Miss Jenise's this morning.  You get a prize when you get it passed off, so I know that is why you want to do it so badly!  This list had the months of the year on it and it was pretty tricky for you.  If fact, you really didn't have it down perfectly before you went to school, but you worked on it for about an hour this morning.  You watched a YouTube video with a song that had the months and you said them over and over for me.  You could never remember April or September.  But, I do admire your perseverance!

We watched "Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang" today.  I don't know if you were that impressed by it and I had not seen it since I was pretty little.  I had forgotten a lot about it.  But, you and Triston were signing the song after it ended!  Another nice Spring day, so we rode bikes again for a little bit tonight.  You love it!  But, you still make me pretty nervous.  You like to go fast and that bike is still just a bit too big for you!

Wednesday, April 9, 2014

You were pretty sad this morning when I sold both of the smaller bikes.  We finally got the tire fixed on your bigger bike and you practiced riding it tonight.  You were pretty nervous at first.  The bike is just a bit taller than you are comfortable with, so you feel like you can't stop or start.  You were also really scared to try to get on it or get off it.  But, we worked on it and I showed you how to shift the bike a little to get on and off and you were pretty proud of yourself when you are able to do it by yourself!  I loved the look on your face when you realized that you were able to do it!  You were awfully proud of yourself!

Karate day!  You have really been enjoying Karate and you ask every day if you it is a Karate day.  I really thought that you would have gotten tired of going to it by now, but you haven't and that makes me proud! You have improved so much with Karate over the last few months.  You focus so much better and you can follow the directions so much better as well!  Good job!

You are having a hard time with not having preschool on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at BYU-I.  The minute Triston walks out the door in the morning, you start asking how many more hours until he comes back.  Sad, little Connor!

Tuesday, April 8, 2014

Your last day for preschool at BYU-I was last Friday, so until the next semester starts in May, you will only be going to Miss Jenise's on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Every month, Miss Jenise gives you a Kindergarten Ready Card, with a bunch of tasks to pass off.  We got behind and had 3 on the fridge waiting to be done, so we passed one off for you last week and my intention was to just start one this morning.  But, you are one persistent little boy and you made sure you passed off every single item before you went to Miss Jenise's this morning!  I really hope you stay this persistent throughout life when you have a task to complete!  The one thing you had trouble with was remembering your birthday.  So, I would tell you and you would try to repeat it.  If you did it wrong, I would say no and you would say, "tell me again".  I would tell you again and you would say "I'll say it one minute and then I will know it".  After a very long minute of 5 seconds, you would repeat it and most of the time you would be be able to say it correctly!

You have your 12 inch bike that you ride really, really well.  Last year, Cooper gave you a 16 inch bike and you were never able to ride it very well, because it was just a little bit too tall for you.  Today was probably the nicest day of the Spring so far, and the temps were in 60's, so we got out the bikes.  The 12 inch bike is just too small for you, but 16 inch had a flat tire, so we tried to pump it up and the tube was all twisted, so we tried to take the tire off and we couldn't find the right tools, we we recruited John when he came home from school and he was able to help with most of it, but then we ran into more problems and then Uncle Nolan came home and he helped and then found a hole in the tube, so he patched it and so hopefully tomorrow, you will be able to ride that bike!  And I sure hope you are tall enough for it, because I sold both the 12 inch bikes online tonight!

Monday, April 7, 2014

For Family Home Evening tonight, we watched some Mormon Messages online and you really liked that. You have such a desire to be good.  It's not always easy for you, but you do want to do things to make me happy.  You amaze me because you are never afraid to show your love.  You are always right in the middle of my life telling me that you love me or giving me a hug and a kiss.  I am so proud to be your mom!

We watched General Conference this weekend and you got a worksheet from Primary last week that had pictures of different words, "prayer, repentance, Heavenly Father", and when you heard the words, you could mark them off on the worksheet.  I was so amazed at you sat and listened to the speakers.  Every time there was a word that you knew was important, you would yell out, "Faith, they said faith".  And you would bring your sheet to me or Triston to help you find it on your sheet.  Most of the words you yelled out were not on your sheet, but it made me proud to know you were listening and trying to find important words!

Your first day of pre-school at the college for this semester!  You go from 8:20 - 10:40, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and I think you are going to like it so much better than staying at home with me and watching me work!  I am glad you get to go and I hope it makes you happy!

You are so grown up to go to pres-school every day!

Quote for the day:

As we were walking out of karate today, it was snowing a little bit and you said, "It's snowflaking!"

Tuesday, January 23, 2014

No school again today due to a Teacher In-service day, so we spent the day playing at home and had Cooper and Amelia come over while their mom had class.  You all played Mario on the Wii and there were no big melt-downs.  I often have to turn the Wii off when you are all trying to play it.

You have not been sleeping in your own bed at all!  Every night, either you or Triston get to fall asleep in my bed.  It makes bed time so much easier with you two in different rooms.  This stops the talking, the laughing and the playing.  But, even when I put you back in your own bed, you almost always come back to my bed in the middle of the night.  I can't even remember the last time you slept in your bed all night.  You tell me the reason for this is that your bed is not comfy and that my bed is more comfy.  Well, it is not comfy to have you in bed with me!  You sleep really warm and you are always kicking the blankets off.  I love having lots of blankets on.  Triston also loves blankets on and he has also been coming in my bed most nights.  You end up in the middle of the bed and throw the blankets off of both of us!  And you toss and turn and move side-ways and up and down!  Ugh!  You are a stinker!

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Happy, happy birthday to my special Connor!  You are such a special, unique, funny and loving boy!  I am so lucky to be your mom!

You started the day with balloons and German Pancakes.  I'm just glad you chose something besides Mac and Cheese for breakfast!

There was no school for Triston, so you got the whole day to play and make all the decisions.  You decided to go to I-Jump and we also took John.  You had a great time, but you did sprain your ankle a little bit, so it was kind of cute to watch you limp around.  I think you liked the limping part!  The pictures are blurry, but they are still fun!

We then went to McDonalds for lunch, you and Triston went to Karate.  But, I did have to talk you into going to Karate.  You kept saying it was your birthday and you shouldn't have to go, but you finally decided to go.

And then we finally had your Mac and Cheese for dinner and then your party finally started with the Bybee's, Grandma and Grandpa and even Bryce.  Bryce was nice and didn't even give you any birthday spankings. Grandma made you a really awesome dinosaur cake and I think you had a lot of fun.

I gave you a box of gears, Triston gave you , Bryce gave you a little remote control truck, Grandma gave you a that you unfortunately already had, so you traded it in for another remote control car and Jeni gave you

Sunday, January 19, 2014

You were pretty excited to go to sleep tonight.  You asked me how many hours you would be asleep because you wanted to know when you would be 5!!!

You got sung Happy Birthday to in Primary today and you got to pick a prize out of the birthday bowl, and you chose play-dough.

I asked you what you wanted for your birthday breakfast tomorrow and you said "Mac and cheese".  Ew! Not for breakfast!

We have 11:00 church now, so I try to feed you right before church, but I don't want your church clothes to get dirty!  So, here you all dressed up and ready for church and being protected by your robes!

Wednesday, January 15, 2014

I made a Texas Sheet cake today for a funeral and it was loaded with frosting and you loved helping me make it.  You loved it so much that when we dropped it off at the church, you were still sneaking the frosting off of it.

And later we made cupcakes for you to take to preschool tomorrow for your birthday treat and of course you had to help me again!  You love helping me in the kitchen.  Of course, the messes you create aren't much of a help! :)

We had dinner at Grandma'ss house tonight and Uncle Bryce was there.  He really likes to give you a hard time and most of the time you know he is teasing and most of the time he is teasing.  But, tonight you spilled your drink and some of it got on him.  He acted all tough and mean and your feelings got hurt and you were trying so hard not to cry.  You were holding your eyes and squinting your eyes and when I said something to you to tell you it was ok, you said "My eyes are just flooding".  It broke my poor heart.  You were trying so hard to be tough.  But, don't worry, I won't let Bryce make you cry ever again!

Saturday, January 18. 2014

You and Triston played together all day, but I think the togetherness gets to be a little much for Triston at times. When he tries to do his own thing and spend time away from you, you follow him around and find ways to bug him to no end!  You will jump on him, poke him, tackle him, tickle him and do anything you can to get his attention.  Triston usually ends up getting pretty upset and needs to be spends some alone time away from you.  I know that you just misses him so much while he is at school and you try to make up for lost time all day on Saturdays and Sundays.

John worked on his Eagle project today at the Romance Theater and put up some siding in the basement, that was very much needed.  We came towards the end of the project to take everyone to Pizza Pie Cafe to celebrate your birthday.  Your birthday isn't until Monday, but you really wanted to eat at Pizza Pie Cafe and today was the best day to do that.  We had to wait for the crew to finish working, so you and Triston pretty much had free reign of the theater.  You explored all the rooms downstairs and found a lot of treasures and also played hide-and-go-seek in the theater.  You both had so much fun hiding in the seats and curtains.

You loved Pizza Pie Cafe.  I think your favorite is the Oreo dessert pizza!  Bryce was there and he was teasing you about giving you birthday spankings on your birthday.  (He just teases and teases you, every time he sees you!)  But, during dinner you came up with a brilliant plan.  You whispered to me that you were going to invite Bryce to come to our house for your birthday party, but we would have the party at Grandma's house.  I was pretty proud of you for coming up with such a brilliant plan!

Friday, January 17, 2014

You found my camera today and I got a good laugh when I looked at the pictures!

I am not even sure how to get black and white on the camera!

You got to go to the open house for your preschool at the college today.  You were a little upset that I went with you, but after I explained that next week, you get to go by yourself, you felt a little better.  The open house was a lot of fun and you got to paint and play with play-dough, blocks and even snow inside!  I really think that going to preschool at both places will be so good for you.

Thursday, January 16, 2014

Your preschool celebrated your birthday today because you don't have school again until 3 days after your birthday.  It was your turn to take a treat and you really wanted to take cupcakes and you are learning about the letter "O", so we made Octopus cupcakes for you to take.  I felt guilty for taking such a messy and sweet treat, but you were insistent on taking them and they did turn out really cute!

Miss Jenise gave you a present, birthday crown and the class sang "Happy Birthday" to you.  It was a fun day for you!

You are going to be starting preschool at BYUI next week.  (This is happy for all of us!  You are very bored and lonely during the day while Triston is at school and I have to work.  You walk around most of the day asking how much longer until Triston comes home.)  You will be going on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and you will still be going to Miss Jenise's on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so you will go to school every day!  This is very exciting!  Two of your teachers came over today to introduce themselves.  You are such a character and love getting attention from new people.  So, you were jumping all over and hiding and throwing toys.  It cracks me up!

Tuesday, January 14, 2014

For preschool today it was a show and tell day.  You were so excited to bring your electronic dog, Max, that you got for Christmas.  Max will do flips if you do the right hand movements for him.  It's not always that easy, but when I picked you up from school, you were really excited that you had gotten Max to do is flip!

Miss Jenise gave you a folder that has some practice worksheets in it.  They are in plastic sheets, so you can  use a marker and reuse them.  Today, you did all of the sheets.  They had the alphabet and shapes to trace.  You were so proud of yourself and asked me if I would like to be in preschool and have to do that much work!

Monday, January 13, 2014

You are always so sad on Mondays when Triston leaves for school and there is nothing for you to do.  You are always so bored and so sad!  You hate being alone, so while I am working, you sit on my bed and play on the IPod.  It makes me sad for you!

We decided to start reading "Dick and Jane" all over again.  You started at the beginning and it was SO easy for you!

For some reason, you decided to be a cowboy today!

Sunday, January 12, 2014

Today was your first Sunday being a CTR 5!  You thought that was pretty exciting, but you did keep the same teachers and that was a little bit of a let down for you.  You like your teachers, but I think you thought new ones would be more exciting!

I made deviled eggs for a dinner at Grandma's house today and you snuck a golf ball into the eggs and thought I wouldn't notice.  Ha ha!  Such a trixter!

Saturday, January 11, 2013

You finished "Dick and Jane"!  We set a goal that you would finish it by your 5th birthday and you did!  And your reward for finishing it would be to go to Kiwi Loco for ice cream and all the toppings you wanted!  So, today we went to "Walking with Dinosaurs" and then we met Grandma and Grandpa for dinner at Arctic Circle and then we all went to Kiwi Loco to celebrate!

I am so proud of you for wanting to learn how to read!  You really surprised me at how fast you picked it up and how much you wanted to do it.  You would ask me to read all the time.  You are so ready for Kindergarten!  You already know all of the letters and most of the sounds.  I am just so, so proud!!!

Friday, January 10, 2014

You are still just a little bit sick, but you haven't had a fever.  You have started coughing, so I hope that gets over fast!

Aunt Jessica gave you and Triston a gift card to Amazon for Christmas, so a couple of weeks ago, we looked on Amazon and found some fun ideas for gifts and put them in the "Wish List" area.  You finally decided on a remote control car.  When you saw the box come in the mail, you got really excited and started yelling, "It's our wish list!"

You played with the car for hours this afternoon!  You also asked me the car knew what to do when you pressed the remote.

Thursday, January 9, 2014

Last night after you went to sleep, I could hear you tossing and turning and moaning and groaning, so at 11:00, I went to check on you and you had a fever, so I woke you up, gave you medicine and put you in bed with me.  You could not go back to sleep, so you watched TV with me for a little bit and then I finally could not stay awake any longer, so I handed you the IPod and I fell asleep.  I woke up about 2 hours later and you were still awake!  I couldn't believe it!  I have finally decided that it's the cold medicine I have been giving you that has been keeping you awake at night.

You and Triston both stayed home from school today and you played and played all day while I was working.  Triston made up a restaurant and was the waiter for you and me for most of the day.  We also put together a puzzle you both got for Christmas, but it was a 3-D puzzle and it was awful!  The colors were really hard to see and we all ended up going cross-eyed!  You kept saying, "why are the pieces changing?  And you got pretty frustrated, as we all did!

You have been reading the Dick and Jane book and for the last couple of days, you have changed the way you read.  You figure out the entire sentence in your mind and then you read it out loud really fast and then you say, "I can read fast".  Such a character!

Wednesday, January 8, 2014

You woke up at 3:00 this morning and tossed and turned.  I couldn't figure out exactly why - you didn't have a fever and you tried to go back to sleep, but finally at 5, I told you to go to your bed and you did.  I didn't see you again until 8:00 when Triston woke up and I sent him to check on you.  I'm not sure if you went back to sleep or not!  You seem to be getting over this flu thing faster than Triston and I am so happy for that!  You are pretty stuffed up, but not achy any more.  You both were able to go to Karate today.

When you say your prayers, you always say, "bless that we will be healthful".  For the longest time, I thought you mean to say "helpful", but now I'm pretty sure you are trying to say "healthy".  It always makes me grin!

Tuesday, January 7, 2014

Last night, you were in bed with me, as you always are!  (You just can't seem to stay in your own bed!) And you woke up with a fever and told me that your forehead hurt.  I gave you some medicine and you woke up just fine with no sign of fever.  I sent you to pre-school, but then when you came back, you started feeling yucky again and by this afternoon, your fever was up to 101.  You climbed up into my bed while I was working and put a blanket over your head and went to sleep.  Poor guy!

Monday, January 6, 2014

Triston didn't go to school today because he has been sick the last few days. But, that doesn't bother you one bit!  You are glad to have Triston home with you. You are always so lonely when Triston is at school. You walk around the house asking when Triston is coming home.

You have been obsessed with a dream you had two nights ago. It sounds like it was a scary dream and it was about a bear. You keep saying you hope you don't have that dream again and today you said that you had the bear dream mixed with another dream that you couldn't remember.  We have dream catchers hanging up in your room that you got from Grandma for Christmas a few years ago and you put all your trust into that and know you won't have any more bad dreams if the dream catcher would work!

Sunday, January 5, 2014

Triston was sick today with a fever, so we did not go to church, but we stayed in our pj's and watched movies all day. I tried to get you to go to church with Jeni, but you wouldn't do it. You said that church was just too long!

But, after another one of your persistence episodes, you got me to make brownies and they were sure yummy!  You love helping me bake or cook anything. You drag a chair around to whatever part of the counter I am working on. I just wish your helping was actually help. :)

Saturday, January 4, 2014

We met the Bargabos clan for lunch at McDonalds for lunch today. It was something fun to do on a cold, winter day. We then went grocery shopping and Albertsons had a huge display of Top Ramen on sale and you begged to get some. We don't get Top Ramen very often, because of its lack of nutritional value, but I agreed to get some to have handy in times of desperation. Well, the second we got home, which was about 2:00, you started begging for dinner and saying you were hungry and needed the Top Ramen. You are very persistent and asked and begged and pleaded every 20 minutes until we finally ate it at 5:30. I sure hope that in later years you will be able to use that determination for a lot of good!

We were watching "Monsters verses Aliens" and there was a point where the big, lady monster kisses her boyfriend. You very pointedly said "That was gross". You are very against kissing these days. But I am just glad you still give me kisses and hugs!
